to create a sense of community and support at each of its meetings.
Topics for each meeting are based on the principal of developing the whole family from a holistic supportive approach. Topics covered will vary from nighttime parenting, book reviews and breastfeeding to how to find time to yourself as a parent, tips for how to create a more harmonious household and positive discipline. Up to date information on meeting topics can be found at www.cpmilwaukee.org. All meetings are free and open to the public. This free certificate program facilitated by UW Extension is designed to show you and your family how to eat better for less. Each week families will learn how to save money at the grocery store, plan nutritious and tasty meals, choose the best food for your family’s health, how to store food safely to prevent waste and illness, help kids to learn about and have fun with food, how to access available community food resources and how to balance healthy eating with physical activity. In addition, each week families will receive a free gift to use in your kitchens at home and a snack prepared from the topic area of the week. Themes for each week are Week 1: Get Moving; Week 2: Plan, Shop, $ave; Week 3: Vary Your Veggies, Focus on Fruits; Week 4: Make Half Your Grains Whole; Week 5: Build Strong Bones; Week 6: Go Lean with Protein; Week 7: Make a Change; Week 8: Celebrate!

Spring is just arriving and Summer’s not far behind!
Welcome it in by joining our fun parent/child playgroup! Your child will have the opportunity to play
with other children, expand their socialization skills, and develop their fine
and gross motor skills through play. Your family will have your choice of a
wide selection of toys to play with, dress-up opportunities, games, books and
activities. You’ll enjoy discussions with other parents over a warm cup of
coffee, while snack and juice is provided for the young ones. Come play with us today!

Afternoon Parents! You’ve asked for it and now it’s here! A playgroup for families with other morning commitments whether it’s preschool or a late starter, but families who want and need to play in the afternoon. bring May flowers! Spring’s almost here and we’re ready for you to come in and
play. This playgroup is a real treat
for the family who needs a little break before the weekend! This Thursday group
is a great way for you and your family to have playtime with other area
parents. Each week bring your child to
our play facility and enjoy playing with our toys, sliding down our slide, and
socializing with other families. At each playgroup, snack and juice is provided
for the children and you can have a cup of coffee while playing with your
child.

Friday! The weekend’s almost here. Need
some time outside the house? This program is great for relieving spring and
cabin fever. Enjoy time spent with other toddlers and parents. Have a cup of
coffee as your child plays with a treasure trove of toys. Toys and Tots is a
good place for your child to learn beginning socialization and decision making
skills in this easygoing and welcoming program. Each child will love playing
with our toys. Participate in discussions with other parents that understand
the pressures of parenthood and the joy of parenting.

Working parents! We know how difficult it is for families to find family playgroups on the weekend. So, we’ve opened a special playgroup session just for you! Whether you register to come play as a whole family or as a parent who needs some bonding time with your child, you’re family will love coming to play in the Florence Nieft Children’s Room. Your family can look forward to a relaxing morning in a fun atmosphere while socializing with other parents and children. Children love our fully stocked playroom full of toys, a big yellow indoor slide and lots of play area for you and your child. Each child

WOW! Spring is almost here. Discover what the Easter Bunny left at our Center for your family! Join us for a simple family friendly brunch. After brunch, your family will enjoy our Easter Egg hunt to find eggs filled with goodies. Of course what would a family party at the Center be without our popular Knock-Knock doors? Your child will have a great time knocking at each door to add to their bag of goodies. All families will have the opportunity to work on an art project and participate in additional activities. And of course who could forget the Easter Bunny? Our bunny will be hopping in to make a special visit after brunch. Be sure to bring cameras so you can get a picture of your child with this magical friend. We look forward to your visit. Register today! It’s time
to put on your boogie shoes and join our fun dance, movement and stretch class!
Parents, spend quality time with your children while getting a little exercise!
Learn to move in a variety of ways while stretching, strengthening and learning
about your muscles. Enjoy moving together as a class and as partners to create
fun dancing shapes, poses and characters ~ all to
lively music! This is a great opportunity to help your child develop their
gross motor skills. You and your child will leave energized after each class!
Miss Kelly, has a degree in dance and is a licensed

This class
focuses on creating happy families and responsible kids. With this
multimedia parent-training program parents of teeny, tiny kids (ages 0 to 6)
learn how to: Show their tots that
whining and arguing doesn’t pay, Put an end to misbehavior in public, Smooth-out
mornings and bedtimes, Calm sibling bickering and battling, Take the battle out
of meal times, tooth brushing, bathing, etc., Make potty training fun, Teach
respect, responsibility, and self-discipline and much, much more!
