The KIDS KORPS will be here with their new program - “Kids Korps Takes to the High Sea.” The show starts with the "Love Boat" theme and these young people will take you to exotic ports of call and perform dances from them and numbers just like you would have seen in the show room of the Love Boat. The Kids Korps is composed of 22 young people ages 8 - 15 that perform jazz, ballet and novelty numbers. Their costumes are bright, colorful and brassy. Their energy and talent will amaze you. Our friend, Dale Kuntz, film historian, is here with a brand new program of film clips that you are going to love! Today's program honors World War II. VJ Day was August 14th and we are here to honor those great films about the War. Mr. Kuntz is bringing clips from some of the great films about the War and the songs from those films. Among the performers you will see are the Andrew Sisters; Jane Froman; Deana Durbin; Jeanette McDonald and Ann Southern performing in the films Follow the Boys; With A Song in Her Heart; Cairo; The Last Time I Saw Paris. We will have lunch and then adjourn to the BVCC Cinema (Room C) for the presentation. This is a "Senior Selebration" you won't want to miss. Register early so you won't be disappointed. Come exercise with us and make some new friends.  All fitness levels are welcome. Improve your health & energy level in this fun non threatening atmosphere.  There is no contract or membership fee and you pay just $2.00/class You don’t pay for the days you don’t come. If you are on vacation or the grand kids are coming for a week, you won’t loose any money.  There is no commitment, no contracts just a comfortable place to exercise under a trained teacher and meet others. 
Our instructor, Pam of Columbia St Mary’s Rehab Dept. is a recreation therapist with additional training in exercise physiology. Designed for older adults class starts with stretches, adds dome weight training and finishes with low impact aerobics/cardiovascular routines.
You can start the class at any time.  We always welcome newcomers. The cost per class is just $2.00.  You purchase a card for $20 (10 classes) and it is punched each time you attend.  If your card is full you know it’s time to add more to your account.  This is similar to a prepaid phone card. LET’S TALK
is a new series of programs for older adults to get information on topics and ask questions and sit and chat with others who are interested in the same topic. “Coffee And” is provided to give you an opportunity to relax and chat before and after the program. These programs are not a lecture but a chance to get information and ask questions. They are meant to be interactive. There is no cost for any of the programs but we ask that you register in advance so we know how to plan for the coffee and bakery.

Oktoberfest is a time that people get together to share food, fellowship and fun. Join us for the BVCC's Oktoberfest. We'll have beer (root); pretzels, a German themed luncheon and great entertainment by the 4 Seniors. The 4 Seniors are 4 delightful ladies who perform on the spoons, harmonica and accordion. They are so much fun and you can sing-a-long with them as they perform your favorite songs. To make our Germanfest complete they are even going to play a couple of Polkas. It is that time of year to again protect yourself from the Flu and Pneumonia. The Center is collaborating with the Visiting Nurse Association to make it easy for you. No Pre-registration is required. People are served on a first-come, first served basis. Bring your Medicare Card and there is no charge. Medicare B covers the cost and we provide you a free cup of coffee. You won't have to wait in long lines like at the super­market. We have chairs set up for you to sit while you wait plus we'll give you a cup of coffee. This is a quick and easy way to get your flu shot this year. (Costs were current at press time June 2008. They are subject to change, Call 414 482-1000 after Sept. 1 to confirm cost.)

Julie Baneck will be here today to tell us the fascinating story of the cemetery and its architecture and about some of the very famous people that are buried there.
