Our programs give you an opportunity to meet new people, make or renew friendships and become more active. Why not come and make a new friend! Special lunch­eons with entertainment called Senior Selebrations; Bingo parties; discussion groups; exercise and more are all part of the fun. Register for a program today - no memberships or fuss - just fun and GREAT PEOPLE! Register using the ADULT REGISTRATION FORM.

 

JANUARY
SHARE THE WISDOM

Are you looking to have a good conversation, have fun and meet new people? Then Share The Wisdom is for you. We get together weekly to discuss all kinds of interesting topics. New people are welcome at any time. You don’t have to come every week – only when it fits your schedule. Share your ideas or listen and think. You can come alone or with another person. There is just one rule: Only one person can talk at a time! There is no cost for the program, you just need to fill out a registration form the first time you come.


EXERCISE WITH HAND WEIGHTS FOR SENIORS

Start your New Year right with our leading 50+ fitness class. Now in its second year, this program started with seniors who do arm exercises twice a week using 1 or 2 pound weights. Others joined in and they found they felt better and really enjoyed working out. Exercises include bending, balance and range of motion activities. Exercises use a 1 or 2 pound weight to work out your arms. Come to a session and you can use our weights until you decide to purchase your own. You can join class at any time.


SKATING INTO WINTER
SENIOR CELEBRATION
Wednesday, January 9
Lunch: 12 noon – 1:00 pm
Program: 1 pm – 2:30 pm
Cost: $6.50
Registration Deadline: Jan 4
Join us for lunch and a movie. We are going to feature a film with Sonja Henie, Norwegian figure skater and three-time Olympic Champion (1928, 1932, 1936). She won more Olympic and World titles than any other ladies’ figure skater. Today she start with Tyrone Power in the 1937 film Thin Ice where a skater falls in love with a reporter who is actually a prince. Our Social Hour runs from 11 am – 12 noon. Please do not arrive before 11 am as we have no waiting area.


WINTER BINGO
January 30 - Wednesday, 12:30 – 2:15 pm
Cost: $2.00
Registration Deadline: January 23

Start your Bingo year at BVCC. We begin at 12:30 with social time and a snack. At 1 pm we start playing Bingo. It’s fun and everyone wins a prize. Come alone or with a friend. You will have great afternoon and go home with a prize!

VALENTINES

We have a special Valentine’s Day lunch and dessert this month. Join us for lunch and a movie. We are going to feature a film with Jeannette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy, known as America’s singing sweethearts. With the score composed by Sigmund Romberg and written in part by Oscar Hammerstein II, this film is the story of a heiress traveling from Paris to America when calamity strikes. Our Social Hour runs from 11 am – 12 noon. Please do not arrive before 11 am as we have no waiting area.


BINGO

Looking for a fun way to spend the afternoon? Play Bingo with us. At BVCC Bingo everyone is a winner. We start at 12:30 with a treat and social half hour. Then at 1 pm we start playing Bingo. We play for prizes – household items, knick-knacks, candles, jewelry and even perfume. Come meet some new people and have a great afternoon.

Join us for lunch and music today. We are featuring one of Milwaukee’s best known accordion players, Roger Boll. His fun-loving music and energy will bring back memories.
