TAI CHI
& QIGONG are ancient Chinese practices developed to integrate
mind/body/spirit based on the principles of Yin and Yang. Our classes develop:
1) POSTURE/ BALANCE – spine and
torso alignment and conditioning through soft repetitive movements and weight
shifting exercises to put a firm foundation under the torso to co-ordinate with
the 4 limbs; 2) AWARENESS –
discovering connections between body/mind/spirit through posture and breathing;
3) RELAXATION – using mind and
movement to surrender to the natural forces of gravity and bio-electricity (Qi)
to improve energy flow throughout the physical body and 4) PRACTICE – through time and applying postures, you experience
harmony and growth of self-tuning your energy body in a supportive environment.
