Breastfeeding & Lactation Support

The Bay View Community Center is proud to offer breastfeeding and lactation support to help families feel confident, informed, and supported throughout their feeding journey.
 

Our Certified Lactation Consultant, Heidi Seymour, provides education, encouragement, and resources for expecting and new parents. Whether you're preparing for your baby's arrival, just getting started with breastfeeding, or experiencing challenges along the way, we're here to help.

Heidi works with families to provide guidance, answer questions, and connect parents with evidence-based resources and support.
 

Program Highlights

This program is part of a CDC-funded initiative in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services that helps create supportive environments where human milk feeding is encouraged and accessible for all families.
 

Through this program, families can:

• Learn about the benefits of breastfeeding and human milk feeding

• Receive breastfeeding and lactation education

• Access helpful toolkits and educational resources

• Connect with lactation support and community resources

• Learn about creating breastfeeding-friendly homes, workplaces, and community spaces
