Bay View Community Center is proud of its volunteer corps! Volunteers are the heart of our Center and our mission. Without these caring and dedicated individuals, we would not be here today.
In addition to the opportunities listed below, we have one-time event opportunities and custom volunteer positions determined by your interests, talents, and experience.

VOLUNTEER NEEDS
Food Pantry
Food Pantry volunteers help before and during Pantry hours. Volunteers assist with:

Stocking shelves

Sorting food donations
-
Distributing food and assisting customers during weekly Pantry shifts

FOOD PANTRY HOURS
Mondays: 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Wednesdays: 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Saturdays: 11:00am - 1:30pm
Community Gardens
Help cultivate our gardens at BVCC and our partner locations! All produce is brought back to the Food Pantry for distribution. Assist with:

Prepping & maintaining garden plots

Weeding, watering, pruning

Harvesting produce
-
Transporting supplies between BVCC and its gardens (listed below)

Playroom Supervison
Help supervise and clean our playroom during open play hours and family programming. Volunteers assist with:

Wednesday: 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Friday: 10:00am - 12:00pm
